Hello all you wonderful people! It’s been a while since I’ve posted on my blog, but I’ve been a bit busy lately, so I have no qualms in reducing the content I figure I should be putting out on this media platform of mine. However, I’m back-ish! This post is just going to be something about my life.
Now, I know most of my readers follow me on twitter, so you may have seen my excitement last week about going to a concert, and you may have seen some pictures I posted on twitter as well; however, I’m still super psyched to have been to that concert and I wish I could go to another some time in the future.
I got to see my favorite band on April 11th!! That was last Thursday for me and it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. On Thursday I got to see the Australian rock band Hands Like Houses perform just thirty minutes away from my hometown in Michigan! AND IT WAS AMAZING!! But, the best part wasn’t the concert, to be honest. No, the best part happened before Hands Like Houses even went on stage and after they left the stage.
Now, I’ve been to my fair share of concerts and there’s always one thing that I never got to enjoy–meeting the bands. Yep, I’ve never once actually met a band in my life despite having been to their concerts or whatever it may be.
That all changed on the 11th when two members of Hands Like Houses were selling merch at their table before they went on! Yep! I totally bought a shirt, don’t worry. And I got pictures and conversed with them! And then afterward they hung around talking to fans, too! I got to talk to their lead vocalist about how much specific songs mean to me, and how one even helps me calm down when I’m having anxiety attacks and nothing else works! He talked about how that’s kind of what the song was actually written about, so my personal connection to it was accurate in a way. Which is awesome!
They’re some of the most genuine people I have ever met, and I’d wanted to see them live for about six years! Well, I finally did! AND THEY ALL SIGNED THEIR SET LIST! Yep, I took one from the stage after the show and went to each member so I could have their autographs! I’m so happy!!! I also got a shirt, but I forgot that at my dad’s place so I don’t have a picture of it–even though it’s crazy rad.

Oh, and one last thing: my twin bro bought them all beer. They drank it on stage between songs and finished them afterward. It was awesome when he got a shout out.
