Hello all you wonderful people! I’m back with another post!
As the title says, I want to list three anime films I’m excited to see when they release (or, rather, when I’m able to see them). Let’s get into this!
Violet Evergarden is getting a film and I’m absolutely 150% losing my mind! I’m so pumped for this! Apparently it’s set a few years after the events of the original series/light novel, but I’m so excited! I love Violet Evergarden–the animation, the artwork, the colors, the characters, the story, and all the emotions that this series brought me. I remember crying around episode six and not really stopping through the rest of the series. Either way, I can’t wait for this film! I can’t even put my emotions into any more words than I already have because I feel as if I’ll probably rant and rant and never stop. I CAN’T WAIT!!!
Next, we have a film by the same writer/director who did the blockbuster hit Kimi no Na wa (or, Your Name)–Makoto Shinkai–titled Weathering With You! I don’t know the Japanese title and frankly I’m too lazy right now to search for it. However, I’ve seen trailers for this film, and some stills of it and I’m freaking out! It looks absolutely frigging stunning! The animation looks clean, the artwork is beautiful, and the colors of the scenes and stills that have been released are wonderful! Hopefully it plays in a theater close to me over here in the USA so I can see it before it releases on disc or digitally in like late-2020 or early-2021…
Ni no Kuni is the third film I want to see when I can. Honestly, I have no idea what this is about, but I’ve had some conversations with my brother and a friend about it and I’m excited to see it even if I don’t know anything about it. Apparently it’s from something, but I don’t know what (if anyone can help me out there I’d appreciate it!)…. So, yeah, it looks pretty cool, the art and animation looks smooth as far as I could tell, I guess I’ll have to wait and see!
And there you have it! Three films I’m excited to see when I can! Are there any anime feature films you’re excited to see when they release, or ones that you were excited to see recently and got to see? I know at least one of my friends got to see The Saga of Tanya the Evil movie in theaters, which I think is freaking awesome! Let me know in the comments below if you’re excited for anything!
Thanks for reading!
