Crappy Superpowers=Ripping off Charlotte. Oops?

So, this little thread here I have on Twitter is something that I’ve been meaning to post for a while, I just never did. And then I posted it on Twitter. Really? Like nobody can see that…

Okay…anyway, I’ll start off by saying I’ve had some thought running through my head for years–literally years–but never did anything with it. I thought about maybe turning said thought into a superpower that some protagonist of a novel is born with, but I never did. This idea started for me around 2015, when I was first getting an idea for a novel, but it died off quickly. However, that thought stuck with me. And then….

And then my dreams were fucking crushed…

AND THEN I SAW CHARLOTTE!!!!

And oh my [insert word here]. I was basically ripping off Charlotte for years. When I say years I literally mean years. I was told to watch Charlotte in 2017 by a friend and never got around to it until this year (August 2018, this month, to be precise). So, from 2015 to 2018 I had no idea this idea of mine was used in some other way in an anime.

DAMN YOU, SHUNSUKE!! DAMN YOU CHARLOTTE!!

Okay, yeah, that’s about it for me on this. I just thought it was awesome that a drawback of a power causes, sort of…in a different way really, what I’d been thinking of writing for years.

Knock, knock, knocking off Charlotte’s idea….
