I’m not going to say much about this. I’m probably going to be taking a hiatus.
I learned no more than two hours ago that one of my best friends, someone who I was going to have stand at my wedding when I get married, someone who was the strongest people I have ever met, died in a training accident in the United States Army in Texas.
I’m a fucking wreck right now. I’m absolutely broken. This man was my brother’s best friend, the first person he met where we currently live, and they were practically inseparable. And when I met him, there was an intstant connection. We loved each other like friends who call themselves brothers.
My brother and I…love this man. This compassionate, wonderful, funny, all-around amazing man.
I love this man. He was the best. And I don’t know what to do right now. I’m at a complete loss…
I’m broken right now. I’m…I just…I don’t know… I’m lost.
I love you, Cole. You’re one of my best friends…and you’ll be a part of me forever…
That’s horrible. Take care of yourself and know our thoughts are with you.

Thank you. I’ll do my best to not do anything ridiculous in this personally horrible time, and I appreciate the sentiment!

My sympathies are with you, your family, and your friend’s family. I understand way too well what this kind of loss can feel like. Focus on yourself and your loved ones, and take as much time as you need. If you ever need someone to chat with, my DMs and stuff are always open for you. Take care, Alexie.
